Good leaders are made, not born. If you have the desire and willpower, you can become an effective leader. Good leaders develop through a never-ending process of self-study, education, and experience. Student leaders are coaches appealing to the best in their fellow students. They solve problems, give advice, encourage, and make changes. Through the leadership elective class, students will develop and refine the skills necessary to be an effective leader. Through class activities and projects, the students will learn how to work in small groups, explore their own leadership style, speak in front of the class, make proposals, and plan and use their time wisely.
